This past Friday, whether it was in the wee hours of the morning or one of the weekend  re-caps, millions of eyes were glued to the tube, or shall we say tele for the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

There’s so much to say about the royal wedding, but I’ll share with you my top 5 impressions of

The bride was ever-elegant in Alexander McQueen. That gorgeous handmade lace on the bodice of Kate’s ceremony gown was exquisite. And her second gown of the day was simplistic yet chic. Her look has a truly timeless appeal.

OK , let’s be honest – Pippa stole the show.! (period, exclamation point) She looked amazing, and I LOVED her dress. You heard it here folks, we’re going to be seeing and hearing a lot more about dear sister Pippa.

The décor at Westminster Abbey was certainly understated (except for some of the guest’s fashions). I just loved the trees lining the walkway and aisle.

Regardless of how whimsical or interesting the selection, I LOVED seeing all of the hats and fabulous fascinators. Among my faves – Lady Frederick Windsor’s stunner and Victoria Beckham’s mod navy pillbox. What did you think of Princess Beatrice’s topper? Love it or hate it? If you love it, you will have a chance to make it yours- as it will be auctioned on ebay to benefit charity. Either way, there’s no denying it has captured the attention of many.

As an event planner, I was of course into the precision of the timing of the flow of the event, and one of my personal fave moments is the arrival of the bride and the departure of the bridal couple.

So Society, was it everything you thought it would be? The beautiful bride, the handsome prince, the kiss, the guests fashions, the surrounding parties? I’m dying, to know your thoughts….
